A brief history of Zibrant
1988 - Zibrant began life as In Business Reservations Ltd (IBR) when one of the founder shareholders, Fay Sharpe, set to growing the business.
1999 - Chris Parnham was appointed as IBR’s Events and Communications Director, launching ILLICO Events – a specialist department offering full event management service.
2004 - IBR acquired McGarvey Russell, an ATOL bonded, high-quality provider of event logistics management, incentive travel and motivation, and the acquired motivation specialist MRM.
2005 - Founder shareholders Fay and Chris masterminded the re-brand where IBR, ILIICO Events, MRM and McGarvey Russell were consolidated under the umbrella brand Zibrant, with the UK’s first-ever venue find agency, RAND, joining Zibrant in October that same year.
2007 - Motivcom PLC, one of the UK’s leading MICE providers acquired Zibrant in a £15 million deal with Zibrant remaining an independent company within the Motivcom portfolio.
2012 - Today Zibrant is an award-winning leading provider of international corporate venue finding, event production, congress, incentive and event management and hotel booking services. We place over 25,000 events annually in more than 50 countries and employ over 200 staff across Europe with strategically placed global representatives.
